• Account information — name, email, password (stored hashed by our auth provider).
• Business profile — company name, trade, license number, and location you provide.
• Content you enter — projects, permits, contracts, invoices, contractors, team members, and related data.
• Permit Finder searches & leads — the city/state and project type you look up, and (if you submit it) your email to receive early access.
• Payment information — processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
• Server logs — our hosting and database providers record standard technical logs, including IP address and request times, to run and secure the Service. We do not currently operate any product analytics or tracking of our own.
• Communications — messages you send us and your support requests.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
• Create and manage your account and process payments.
• Generate AI responses and features you request.
• Respond to inquiries, send service and (with your consent) marketing communications.
• Detect fraud/abuse and comply with legal obligations.

3. AI Processing

When you use AI features, relevant inputs are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your private business content to train third-party models except as needed to provide the feature you requested.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers (subprocessors) that help us run the Service, under contract: Supabase (hosting, database, authentication), Anthropic (AI processing), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder (address lookup), and public open-data sources (e.g., Socrata). We use no advertising networks, no data brokers, and no third-party analytics.
• Legal & safety — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the Service.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

5. Cookies

We use cookies for one purpose: keeping you signed in. We set no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no third-party analytics cookies. Your browser also stores some of your own data locally so the app works quickly; signing out clears it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but you will not be able to stay signed in without them.

6. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion as described below.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (including access controls and row-level security) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to opt out of marketing. To make a request, contact us at privacy@sqm.ai. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those emails.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
